Your files. Your key.
Record or bring in audio and video. Speech is transcribed in the language it was spoken, and you can ask the whole library. Your files and your API key stay on this computer. The app is free.
For meetings, interviews, classes, journals, brainstorms and plans.
The library is a folder you choose. Notes are markdown, transcripts are plain text, and the recording sits beside them. Nothing is uploaded unless you put that library in an account.
Paste your own API key in Settings. Transcription and the assistant use that key on this computer, with no subscription. It is not uploaded, and it is not copied with the library.
The app is free without one. Sign in when you want the same library on another computer or in the browser. That is what a paid plan is for.
Library
Sessions sit in folders you name — Work, Podcast, Learning, Home. Pick one, or start a new audio or video recording without leaving the page.
Transcript
Open a session and its recording, its files, and the transcript stay on one screen. Copy the transcript, edit it, download it, or turn it into a note.
Playback
Every file is a card in the session it belongs to, with a picture for each video. Chips show one kind at a time, and a tap plays the video or the audio right there, at the speed you like.
Session chat
Chat with a session and ask it to turn a note into a checklist. The reply shows the lines it would change, the note they belong to, and whether that edit was applied.
Search
A match can be a session title, a line from a transcript, or a sentence inside a note. The hit says which folder it came from.
The app is this same site, plus a helper that can see a folder you choose. The folder is the library, and it works offline.
Sign in on a paid plan and the library lives in your account. You can upload audio and video, transcribe, and ask the assistant. Those requests use the allowance included with the plan. A key you paste belongs on the installed app, where the library stays on this computer.
Connect Claude, Cursor or another AI app to your library over MCP, an open standard for letting an AI app look things up. Ask it about your sessions, notes, transcripts and files, or give it the link to a folder. It can only read: it cannot change or delete anything, and whatever you hide from AI apps stays hidden.
Every plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits. A paid plan adds cloud storage and the MCP connection. AI credits pay for transcription, chat, search, titles and summaries. One credit is about a minute of transcription.
The app is free. A subscription is only for keeping the library in an account.
Version 1.1.37. The Mac app is signed and notarized, so macOS can verify it. Windows and Linux are not signed yet. Each download includes FFmpeg so video can be prepared without a separate install.
Macs with an M1 chip or newer use Apple Silicon. A Mac from before 2020 uses the Intel download.
